Trip, but don't fall

Welcome to the Bois' annual golf trip adventures.

Prepare yourself for a wild ride through our slightly chaotic, yet hilariously entertaining annual tradition. Imagine a bunch of buddies trying to democratically decide where to go, when to go, and where the heck to stay. It's like Congress, but with better snacks and half the voters.

Our journey begins roughly 11 months before the next trip. That's when we get together and start tossing around ideas. But let's face it, we're procrastinators at heart, so things don't get real until April or May of the trip year. We like to live on the edge.

Once our elusive destination is decided, after a lot of cat herding, a small, intrepid group of us usually huddles up to plan a two-to-four-day road trip extravaganza. Think of it as our own version of The Amazing Race, where we explore every nook and cranny of this great land on our way to our annual golfing mecca.

Oh, the places we've seen. We've driven through towering redwood trees, marveled at a potato museum, and discovered more roadside oddities than we ever thought possible. Every year, we're left wondering what's in store next. The possibilities are endless, as long as you consider endless to be within driving distance of the western United States.

So many of us are in the baby-making business that it has practically become a subplot of our adventures. One year, one of our fearless fathers left five hours after arriving because his wife went into labor a month early. Those who stayed took bets on weight and height for bragging rights. Who's to say Bois can't have baby showers?

Stay tuned, because the Bois' annual golf trip is a journey that never stops surprising us. Who knows where we'll end up next?
